Thank you for your interest in supporting 7 Kinds Of Smoke BBQ Competition Team (7KOSBBQ).
7KOSBBQ was created from the cooking passions of Chef and Pit Master Phil Carter. During the 2009
BBQ Competition season, 7KOSBBQ was ranked 10th in the state of California by the California BBQ
Association and 2nd by the International Barbecue Cookers Association (IBCA) Western States Cook Off
Points Chase, with teams competing from 4 States! 7KOSBBQ restaurant was also voted as one of the
top 5 BBQ places in Los Angeles by Good Day L.A. viewers. Over the past few seasons, 7KOSBBQ has
quietly donated proceeds from winnings to various charities. With your help, we don't want to be so quiet
anymore!
The truth of the matter is disease effects us all. After the passings of friends and family from cancer and
of his grandmother due to conditions arising from Alzheimer's, Phil and his wife Angel, decided to take
proceeds from any winnings from BBQ competitions and donate them to the Revlon Run/Walk for Breast
Cancer (Angel has been participating in this event since 1998) and the Alzheimer's Association
(www.alz.org) which we have donated to since 2008. With your help, we will again be able to compete,
spread awareness and provide resources for worthy causes.
Doing competitions throughout the western states allows us to potentially reach hundreds of thousands
people each year. The people that attend the events we participate in may range from 3,000 to 100,000
per event. That allows us to help raise money buy vending our food products and to put your company
name or business prominently displayed for the duration of the event.
7 Kinds Of Smoke BBQ Team is ready for another year of competing and donating proceeds to the
Revlon Run/Walk for Breast Cancer and the Alzheimer's Association. This year we anticipate on
attending 15-20 competitions with over 200,000 attendees. We would be proud to have YOU as a
